3 arrested after shots fired in discount store
(FreshAsFrankie)Police are sorting out details in a bizarre SUnday incidents that included three arrests and shots fired inside an Alexander City department store.
Courtney C. Gover, 25 and Antonio L. Gover, 29, were arrested and charged with shooting into an occupied building.
Sernee Delshay McNeal, 28, was arrested and charged with illegal discharge of a chemical agent.
Alexander City Police Chief Willie Robinson said that they do not believe that Antonio Gover fired shots, but due to his role in the incident is facing the same charges.
As of Monday afternoon all three remained in custody.
Robinson said they are still looking at exactly what started the altercation as none of the three suspects have been forthcoming with details in the case..
“The first thing that I thought when I got the call is that we were lucky that no one was hurt or killed,” Robinson said. “Shooting inside a store at that time of day, it’s really a miracle that we weren’t looking at multiple victims there. “
