(FreshAsFrankie) News broke of hundreds of people in South Africa allegedly confessing to eating human flesh that was given to them by a group of four men according to The Witness. The group of men are known cannibals, and since then have appeared in court in Estcourt, Africa to face charges. The charges range from killing and mutilating a woman’s body, then eating it. Along with that, they were charged with conspiracy to murder and alleged rape.
The Witness noted that one of the suspects came into a police station located in Estcourt this past Friday. When they came in, they were holding human remains in their hand, which included a hand and leg. The suspect allegedly said that they were “tired of eating human flesh.” Since then, a ward councilor named Mthembeni Majola had a community meeting after the suspects made their appearances in court. In that meeting, an estimated 300 residents admitted to visiting one of the suspects home and knowingly eating human flesh after being advised by the suspect, who is a “traditional healer.”
