LeBron James Ties Jordan's Double Digit Scoring Record

LeBron James is the best basketball player in the league. At the age of 33, most basketball players slow down a bit. James must be Benjamin Button, because it seems like he is aging in reverse.

On Wednesday night, Lebron James and the Clevland Cavaliers faced off against the Charlotte Hornets. In the second quarter, James was thrown a beautiful pass by J.R. Smith to set up an insane dunk. The monster jam gave James a double-digit point score, tieing him with Michael Jordan. That’s right. LeBron is about to break another MJ record.

The Smith assisted dunk gave James his 866th consecutive game with at least 10 points. He is now tied with Michael Jordan, who accomplished the feat on a streak from March 25, 1986, to December 26, 2001. In the fourth quarter of the same game, James nabbed another accomplishment. He passed Kevin Garnett to achieve 17th place on the all-time steals list.

According to Complexprior to the game Cavs associate head coach Larry Drew stated that it was a “phenomenal accomplishment,” and added, “There will be more records down the road that he will be breaking, if he continues to produce the numbers that he has been producing.”
