No Longer A Felony: Oregon Makes Possession Of Heroin, Cocaine, Meth And Other Drugs A Misdemeanor!

(FreshAsFrankie) A bill signed by Gov. Kate Brown makes personal-use possession of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and other drugs a misdemeanor, not a felony. Oregon is one of only a few states in the U.S. that has changed the seriousness of the offense down to a misdemeanor. The Oregon District Attorney’s Association vehemently opposes the bill.
