Ralo’s Team Releases Message After His Bond Was Denied

No Bail For Ralo; Feds Say Rapper Smoked On Jet As He Flew With Millions In Weed
(FreshAsFrankie) Atlanta’s own, Ralo, was denied bond during his hearing before a federal judge in court on Tuesday, April 24. The decision came one day after the rapper encouraged fans looking to show their support to pray, not protest, in his name. A rally of supporters did convene, despite his request, and although disheartened by the news, many are vowing to stick by through his decision to fight the case.

“Ralo will maintain his plea of not guilty to today’s charges,” a rep from Ralo’s label said in a statement shared with an NBC news affiliate. “We ask for continued prayers and appreciate the outpouring of love from everyone, family and friends included. Ralo will continue to work to be the best artist and entertainer and community leader that he is. We hope that he will soon be released to complete his current show schedule.”

Ralo is facing a pair of federal counts of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute after he was arrested along with eight associates, in a raid on his private plane earlier this month. Authorities reportedly turned up 450 pounds of the narcotic during the bust.

It was the second time that investigators allegedly tracked his flight from California to DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, in four months. A similar raid had been conducted back in December, according to reports. Altogether, Ralo is accused of trafficking in 964 pounds of marijuana valued at $2 million.
