(FreshAsFrankie) After recently announcing that he would surrender via the Associated Press, white supremacist Chris Cantwell has finally surrendered to the authorities after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Previously, Cantwell was featured in a Vice News documentary about the Charlottesville rally, where he could be seen talking about inciting violence, as well as showing off an array of guns and various other weapons. In the documentary, you can also see Cantwell clearly pepper-spraying a counter-protester who was in attendance at the rally.
After finding out that he had warrants for his arrest, the white supremacist released a video where he was crying and attempting to explain his actions at the rally. Cantwell was booked by police for unlawful release of a dangerous gas causing injury, assault using acid, and malicious release of dangerous gas causing injury.
