During an interview with People, Carolina maintained that she is disappointed that haters would suggest that the Cardi’s pregnancy would slow her career, instead of being happy for the soon-to-be mom.
“Why is anyone saying anything so mean to someone? A baby is a blessing,” she said. “Why would you talk about it like it’s a bad thing? My sister is such a good person, I wouldn’t want anybody to talk bad about her. It really hurts. But I’m not gonna let them stress me out anymore. I’m tired of it!”
Carolina says she is happy that her sister revealed her baby bump during “Saturday Night Live” because it was a relief from the rumors and the trouble of keeping it under wraps for months. Following her reveal, Cardi shouted “I’m finally free” after walking off the SNL stage to cheers from her team.
“I know she’s happy. No more people talking about her,” Carolina added. “I know she’s happy and she’s free. She can go out and eat food, not hide what she wants to wear.”
