Florida rapper Kodak Black is a rising star who can’t seem to stay out of trouble. The Project Baby was out on probation, but he violated earlier this year when he live-streamed himself surrounded by friends who were smoking marijuana. There was also a gun present. Black’s infant child was also in the stream, prompting the courts to charge Black with a multitude of charges including possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, third-degree grand theft (the gun was stolen), and child neglect. Those three charges were recently dropped, although two new charges were added. Black is also facing sexual assault charges in South Carolina.
It’s possible that the time behind bars is making Black realize who his true friends are. On Friday, the “Tunnel Vision” rapper tweeted a string of comments that hint at possible disloyalty within the crew. “Sometimes you have to cut off a finger to save your hand,”vented Black. He followed that tweet by writing, “Never again will I let you close to me, even if you mean the most to me,” and “Protecting my innocence. Protecting my love.” It is unclear whether Kodak is talking about a friendship, a business partnership, or a romantic relationship.
Black posted one last tweet before dropping the topic. “Never will i get to close to you, even if i mean the most to you. LOVE…D,” concluded Kodak.
