Kodak Black Free On $100K Bond In South Carolina Criminal Sexual Conduct Case
(NewsnMusic) Kodak Black is ready to get back to making music after spending the last several months in jail. He’s currently free after posting $100,000 bond Thursday, December 1, in a criminal sexual conduct case in South Carolina.

The 19-year old 2016 XXL Freshman emcee, born Dieuson Octave, spent three months in Florida’s Broward County Jail after the plea deal his lawyers had worked out with prosecutors for several charges that included drug and firearm possession fell through. It was discovered at the time that Black had two additional arrest warrants.

One warrant was out of  St. Lucie County, Florida for two misdemeanor counts of cannabis possession.

The second warrant was out of Florence, South Carolina for felony criminal sexual conduct.

Kodak was extradited to Florence following his release from Broward County Jail earlier this week.

After posting bond this afternoon the “I Like Dat” rapper issued the following statement via Billboard.

“I’m happy to finally be going home to my family and friends. I look forward to clearing my name in the very near future. I want to thank God, my family , my team (Vanessa, Phatboy and James McMillan), Atlantic Records, my lawyers and all of my fans for your continuous love and support. I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love most – working at being the illest rapper alive.”
