Kodak Black to be Sentenced in Federal Firearms Case, Facing 4 to 20 Years
Kodak Black will be sentenced in his federal firearms case this week, and the rapper is facing a maximum of 10 years each for the two counts he’s been charged with. Kodak is accused of breaking federal law by falsifying documents in order to illegally obtain multiple firearms on more than one occasion earlier this year. One of the guns was found at the scene of a shooting in Pompano Beach, Florida, Kodak’s hometown.
Kodak has forgone a trial and decided to plead guilty in the case after initially pleading not guilty. The government is reportedly suggesting that Kodak be sentenced on the “low end of the guideline range,” but the Florida rapper’s fate will ultimately be determined by the judge.
