With Lil Wayne’s highly-anticipated album, Tha Carter V, finally arriving on Friday, September 28th, hip-hop and music fans alike were anxious to hear the final product.
According to projections, Weezy’s project is slated to debut at #1 pushing 475,000 to 525,000 units in the first week alone.
This translated to 165,000 to 180,000 in pure sales.
If reports are accurate, Wayne will have the third biggest opening week of the year behind Drake’s Scorpion and Travis $cott’s Astroworld.
With Logic and Kanye both dropping albums the same day, Ye even humbly pushed his release date back one day, praising Lil Wayne for his stature in the rap game.
