(NewsnMusic) Max B’s release from prison is getting close according to the Harlem rapper’s reps.
The team gave a significant update on Max, whose real name is Charly Wingate, in a letter posted on Twitter this week. “We’re happy to announce another major update on Charly Wingate’s case. In result of his 75 years sentence being drastically reduced a few months ago, he has now been transferred to the East Jersey State Prison located in Rahway, NJ. This is the normal procedure for inmates who are nearing the end of their prison terms. Make sure to send all your future letters of support to his updated address and rest assured that he reads them all even though he can’t reply to every single one of them,” the letter read.
Max B was originally sentenced to 75 years on murder conspiracy and robbery charges in 2009, but his prison terms were cut down significantly after he copped a plea deal earlier this year. He could be released as early as two years. His very close associate French Montana took to social media to share the news back in September. Max issued a statement thanking his friend for all the support he showed him while he was incarcerated. “I want to thank my boy Masar, Alpac, and my brother from another mother, French Montana aka Mac with the Cheese- I love you bro! Wave Gods till we die!!!,” said Max.
