(FreshAsFrankie) Moneybagg Yo’s name has been in a lot of headlines over the last few days. The Memphis rapper was reportedly questioned by police in connection with a shooting at a New Jersey rest stop on August 19.
A week earlier, Moneybagg dropped his project Federal 3X. The Yo Gotti protégé moved around 30,000 units for the commercial mixtape, placing it at #5 on the new Billboard 200 chart week ending August 17.
Federal 3X was predicted to only collect between 15,000 and 20,000 units. YoungBoy Never Broke Again also appears on the tape.
“I keep growing my fan base. My last project Heartless sold more mixtapes than some big artists on major label albums. So right now, I’m just focus on giving my fans more mixtapes,” Moneybagg told Billboard earlier this month.
