Nicki Minaj Postpones North American Tour Amid Low Ticket Sales

Nicki Minaj Postpones North American Tour Amid Rumors of Low Ticket Sales

Nicki Minaj has postponed the North American leg of her NickiHndrxx Tour, which was announced by Live Nation on Tuesday (August 21). It was also announced that Future would start the European tour with Nicki starting on Feb. 21 in Munich, Germany.

“Due to scheduling conflicts Future will not be on the North American run. Nicki Minaj will be announcing new North American dates to kick off in May 2019. Refunds for the previously scheduled North American dates will be available at point of purchase, with new Nicki Minaj on-sale details announced soon.”

This comes amid reports from Page Six that ticket sales for the tour were lower than expected. The arenas on the tour had the ability to fit around 20,000 people, and 3,400 tickets were sold so far in Los Angeles, while Nicki’s hometown of Brooklyn only sold 5,050 tickets so far.

Nicki has been getting criticism from some about dissing Travis Scott and accusing him of drumming up album sales by getting Kylie Jenner to promote it on her Instagram page. She wrote on her page, “I put my blood sweat & tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling ppl to come see her & Stormi. Lol. Im actually laughing.” Nicki went on to call Travis “H*e N***a of the Week” on her Beats 1 Radio show.
