(FreshAsFrankie) Nipsey Hussle’s debut studio LP has been done since April and has seen numerous delays due to label disputes, which have since been sorted out with Nip’s All Money In label partnering with Atlantic Records. With progress being made, the Crenshaw rapper has finally put a release date on Victory Lap. In the meantime, the 32-year-old delivered a gritty “Rap N—as” visual to hold fans over until Feb. 16, which is just in time for NBA All-Star weekend.
The Sergio-directed video takes Nipsey around various city landscapes claiming he’s not like the rest of these emcees until the ending lavishly fades away with his crew on a luxurious boat. Before coming to a close the blacked out screen reads in a script, “In Loving Memory of Stephen ‘Fatts’ Donelson,” who passed away in September at the age of 30. Lauren London makes a cameo in the video, but XXL reported last week that the couple had broken up.
Hussle took to Instagram with a heartfelt thank you letter penned to his day one supporters saying, “You’ve come a long way with us on this journey. Through our ups and downs, you’ve stayed dedicated to us, our brand, and our vision. I want to say thank you. Without your belief, we would not have gone this far.”

Jeezy revealed the LP’s tracklist, and the song “American Dream” will feature Jermaine and K. Dot. The two stars previously teamed up for Cole’s “Forbidden Fruit” and DJ Khaled‘s “They Ready” (with Big K.R.I.T.). In addition, “HiiiPoWeR” off Kendrick’s Section.80 was produced by J. Cole.
Pressure also includes contributions from 2 Chainz, Puff Daddy, YG, Kodak Black, Rick Ross, Trey Songz, and more. The album is scheduled for release on December 15.
