Mase and Cam’ron Have Been Enemies Longer Than They Have Been Friends (Audio)

Mase and Cam'ron Have Been Enemies Longer Than They Have Been Friends (Audio)

(FreshAsFrankie) Rap legend & Harlem representative Mase is out for blood. The hip-hop vet decided to explain why he had to lyrically assault Cam’ron with the heavy-hitting diss, “The Oracle.”

This morning in a radio interview with Hot 97’s Ebro, Mase kept it clear on what forced him to empty the clip on Killa Cam this past black Friday.

Mase said (via phone):

“He said something that just pushed me over the edge, I’m not going to lie. When he said, ‘the bodily harm’ thing. Saying something about someone, I don’t take that seriously. When you start saying you’re going to do bodily harm or you’re thinking about that, it’s my job as a man to make sure you don’t get to do that. So, every other time when he was saying little stuff about me, I let it slide because you know, we grew up. But people don’t realize, we’ve been enemies’ way longer than we’ve been friends. So, I knew him as an enemy more than as a friend. I knew him for like 8 years as a friend, I knew him for 21 years for being an enemy. So, I don’t look at him as a friend.”

Killa Cam is currently on tour with the rest of Dipset and responded to Mase with the diss song, “Dinner Time.”

New Petition Asks PA Governor to Reevaluate Meek Mill's Prison Sentence
(FreshAsFrankie) A new petition on Change.org requests that Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf reevaluate Meek Mill‘s recent prison sentence of 2-4 years for violating his probation.

The petition reads, “Meek Mill has been a powerful voice in the community for our youth. He has made positive contributions to many communities and programs, dedicating time and money to the cultivation of our youth and neighborhoods; even through his own adversities. He has continued to be dedicated and shown an immaculate work ethic, even at times when the system tried to prevent him from being able to tour, which is how he makes a living.”

As of post time, the petition has reached over 91,000 signatures and hopes to get 150,000. You can sign the petition here.

Meek Mill’s Mugshot Released

Meek Mill's Mugshot Released
(FreshAsFrankie) Meek Mill‘s mugshot was released on Wednesday after he was checked into the Pennsylvania prison system. The Philly rapper was sentenced to 2-4 years after a judge ruled that he violated his probation twice. According to TMZ, the prison Meek will be serving his time at has not been released for security reasons, and it will not be made public until he’s arrived.

Meek’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, claims that they will be appealing the judge’s decision, as Tacopina feels that Judge Genece Brinkley had a vendetta against the Philly rapper for not dropping Roc Nation and signing with her friend. Tacopina also claims that the judge was mad at Meek for not taking her advice and doing a remix of Boyz II Men‘s “On Bended Knee” and giving her a shoutout, which Meek initially thought was a joke.

Meek Mill’s Attorney Claims Judge Has A Vendetta Against His Client.

Meek Mill's Attorney Claims Judge Has A Vendetta Against His Client.
(FreshAsFrankie) One of Meek Mill’s attorneys, Joe Tacopina, says bias towards his client led to the prison sentence handed down by Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley on Monday, November 6.

As we previously reported, Brinkley sentenced Meek to 2-4 years behind bars after ruling he violated his probation from a 2009 drug and gun case, by getting arrested twice earlier this year.

Joe Tacopina told TMZ that Brinkley has a vendetta against his client and went against the prosecutor’s recommendation of no prison time. He claims the two are from the same part of Philadelphia and know some of the same people.

Their alleged conflict may also stem from a Boys II Men song, of all things.

According to Tacopia, during a meeting in judges chambers last year, Brinkley told Meek he should do a remake of “On Bended Knee” and shout her out.

Meek responded by laughing because he thought she was joking.

“I’m not kidding,” she reportedly told him.

When the 30-year old rapper, born Robert Williams, refused Brinkley allegedly said “suit yourself.”

Tacopina says there is a clear pattern of bias against Meek and plans to appeal the prison sentence.

Now, the rapper wants to take advantage of his hard work by having a new mansion built in one of the more wealthy communities in Canada. He still needs a place to stay in the meantime until construction is underway, which led the rapper to show off his new space until the work on his future home is done.

Via a video, Drake said “You know, sometimes when you’re out here on the road, [you] forget the importance of having a home. I just came home to a new temporary spot until my house is built, but it’s still my home for now. I’m very inspired, very excited. This just has me ready to work.“ The rapper went on to show a room in the temporary spot that he plans on turning into a studio. The room features a neon sign that says “Less Drake, More Tupac.” Take a look above.
