Gucci Mane Spends Over $800,000 to Pay Off 5-Year-Old Tax Lien
According to a report from The Blast, Gucci Mane has recently settled a rather large debt with the IRS. The full amount came to a grand total of $823,358.50. The hefty sum accounts for three years in which the IRS accused him of withholding funds. The IRS issued the rapper a tax lein with a detailed breakdown for each year he owed on.

Gucci apparently owed $9,675.06 for 2008, $607,923.44 for 2010, and $205,760 for 2011. Paying his back taxes is only the latest positive step in what has been a miraculous transformation for the Atlanta rapper. In 2016, Gucci was released from prison after a three year prison sentence for gun possession by a felon. He was then released early from his probation after meeting all of the requirements.

Gucci looked noticeably healthier as well, prompting many fans to actually accuse him of being a clone. The newly slimmed down Gucci also married his longtime girlfriend Keyshia Ka’oir, dropped several new albums and scored his first number one record on Billboard with “Black Beatles” alongside Rae Sremmurd since becoming a free man.

Clearing up his tax debt is proof that Guwop is still on the right path. It’s also a reminder to all of us that if it’s one person you covet over on it’s Uncle Sam.
