On Wednesday, Epps posted an Instagram video with himself and Friday co-writer/actor Ice Cube (Craig Jones). The clip featured Cube mentioning the two stars’ respective characters from Next Friday and Friday After Next.
“I’m sitting here with big bro. We working,” said Epps in the IG vid. Then Cube added, “Craig and Day-Day.”
Epps also uploaded a photo of the cast, which included John Witherspoon who played Craig’s dad Willie Jones. The picture’s caption read in part, “[Ice Cube] spitting game on the set is always Gold [John Witherspoon] was a [damn] fool today.”
The original Friday from 1995 is widely considered a cult classic. 2000’s Next Friday introduced Mike Epps to the franchise, and the comedian returned for Friday After Next in 2002.
