Hip-Hop legend Kool G Rap is planning a lawsuit against a national sneaker retailer, who accused him of shoplifting.
G Rap claims the incident started back in June when he was shopping in a Pennsylvania mall.
As G Rap left the mall, a security guard for Finish Line followed him, believing he had swiped a pair of $185 sneakers.
The security guard took down G Rap’s license plate number and contacted police.
The cops showed up at Kool G Rap’s house and charged him with misdemeanor theft.
Kool G Rap denied all the charges, which were eventually dropped after surveillance footage reviewed he never set foot in Finish Line.
Kool G Rap claims he was profiled just because he is black and he is planning to sue for damages.
