AstroWorld, the third studio LP by Travis Scott, totaled 270,000 traditional sales in its first week of release. That puts the album in first place for the year.
In addition, Scott’s critically acclaimed project added 349 million first-week audio streams. That gives the Houston native the fifth-biggest all-time streaming week for an album.
The combined numbers equaled 537,000 equivalent album units, giving Travis his second #1 on the Billboard 200. Only Drake’s Scorpion (732,000) opened with more sales-plus-streaming units in 2018.
